Background:
I bought the car as a completely stock 5.0l gt for 2,000 while I was in school (and already had a couple then including a turbo car), at that time it took about every penny i had to get it but well worth coughn it up when I look back now. once I got done with school and got a job the trek began to build another drag car, I started tearing off stuff that I didnt like and when I was done there was a shell sitting in my garage. When my fiance saw that she new it was guna be a long hard next couple of years. I originally was guna put a dart block in it to begin with but after reading on the forum and seing the success of the factory block I figured why not use it and see what I could do with it for now, and spend money else where, so I did and focused more on trying to build this fox as a driver car that spooled quick and made considerable horsepower. its efficient, runs smooth and gets 16 miles to a gallon. theres just nothing like hearing a v8 spool. I grew up around many cars from race to straight show cars, and I really just wanted to build a fast fun driver and
I think I got what I wanted. Im glad to see that street cars are growing and when I say that, what I mean is because of this forum and people toying around with turbos more, know we can build high horse cars that we can drive daily that you dont have to run high compression or fill up a bottle to make go fast.
