Background:
I have owned this car since 1992 and it has been one of the fastest street cars around. This mean real street race, we have no permanent drag strip in Germany so most races in past was on streets.  Now fast cars go to unprepped airfields.  With the stock suspension and the small tires there was somtimes black strips to finish line.  I start from idle and make sure that boost does not come on too early.  Best ET was 10.04 with 225 km/h
Headers are equal length 30" 45mm to Mitsubishi Turbos Stage III from GMC Thypoon, this was leftovers that I get very cheap from a bankrupt dealer here in Germany.  Down pipes are 31/2" and goes to a 3" exhaust system for racing I have built quick disconnects to side pipes. The throttle response of this setup is superb.
Engine is a 331 SBC this was from a 67 Opel Diplomat and I put it in the car in 1992 as stock and build it up over the years more and more to be always the fastest car local streets.
in 1999/2000 I switched to turbo to have it more streetable I was tired from the hot cams and filling bottles.  The engine was set back 30cm (12") and lowered 20cm (8") to have more room for turbos and better handling on street and road course.    Engine was put on dyno and made 600hp without intercooler and only 0.8bar of boost after this we made lots of modificatins and now it should be in the 750-800 range.
The HESTEC Motormanegement is very good and allow perfect adjustments without dyno because datalog and maping will work together so you set markings in datalog and find it in the map and it makes autocorrection if you want. There is 55# injectors and single coils form Mercedes.

At this time I build up the new project at www.granata.blogger.de this should be powered with twin turbo Mod Motor.
