Hey guys I have 1 (one) S475 T6 1.32 here that is new in box and has never been used but I had to put a slightly used compressor cover on it.
So to recap, S475 new cartridge, new turbine housing T6 1.32, slightly used compressor cover.
Think of it as a scratch and dent sale but without the scratch and dent.
$525.00 gets it!!!
Remember I only have one like this!!!
Thanks!!!
Luis

How would this thing spool on a Dart based 347 with ported Vr Jr heads and a C4 with brake limiting at 6500-6700rpms? Would it be at least OK on the street? How does it compare to the 76GTS style turbo's? Is this a 75mm setup? I'm very interested but think maybe the 1.10 housing is better for me.
Thanks Dave

Here is the same turbo on a 8:1 comp ratio 306, except it has a slower spooling 88mm comp wheel. A 75mm comp wheel and a 347 will spool quicker than mine. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/ef5a5422-b762-459a-a14b-9a3801809161.htm on the street from a dig it is a dog, I run an auto with a t-brake. I just finished my 2 step last night. I have yet to test it. If you are looking for a street turbo get the 76GTS if you are looking for a strip turbo get the s400. I have a 351 with a 74GTS it is a good street turbo til 6k or so. The s400 wants to keep pulling well past 7k on the 306.

I haven't driven the car in 4 years actually. When it was running, I only put about 800 miles or so on it a year and that was driving it to a car show 96 miles away, back and forth to base which is 13 miles from town where I lived. I never broke 1000miles on it except once because there was a bet going on that I wouldn't do it. It's got 44,000 miles on it now and I bought it in 97 with 32,000 on it. I didn't get to the track enough because of work but that's not an issue anymore. I'll probably still drive it to base and back a few times a year when I get back up there but it's not a weekend street race warrior, I want it built for the 1/8th. If it'll handle on the street somewhat decent then I'm fine with it. I'm building it for more of a track car that can have "some" tolerable street manners. It's full tube front with race rear and no accessories. I'm even pulling the heater box for the rest of the cage. I run DR's with 3.5's in front. If the turbo can handle my limits now and do great when I step it up to solid roller then that's what I'd like. I want something a little below the verge of not being streetable. If I can spool it at around 4000-4500 now, I'd be happy. Does that give you an idea? What should I be looking for?
I just can't believe the 76mm turbo's are twice the cost of this style turbo.
What RPMs do you see boost start at and where does it reach full boost in that 306? Were you on the brake there? That was a long time to hold. I'm also on a braked auto now. I have a 3200 stall but will be looking for a higher one when I get the turbo kit built on it. I'm going to brake the motor in first on the road to qwell this desire to finally drive the damned thing.
Thanks Dave

Yes, I was on the brake in the vid. Yes, it is a long time. My set up is not optimal low compression 8:1 small cubes 306. I am running a hyd roller, rev to 7k, you will be able to spool it by 4k with the 347. Before I had it tuned I was seeing 10lbs @ 4k, on the brake.

10# @ 4000 on the brake with an 88mm so on the same housing, with a smaller turbine and more cubes, I would think it should be fine for me. I'm not the turbo pro here though. I just know what changing pullies on my old blower or jets on my bottle kit would do for me.
What hydro cam do yo use to spin to 7000? Mine's an NMRA EFI renegade cam from what I'm told. I still run a ported RPM too but that will change eventually too. Do you have a dyno graph of that setup or any pics?
Would this turbo put me where I want to be. I'd like to hit mid to low 9's with a turbo that is 8's capable. I'm not into the magical hp numbers but if I had to guess, I'd like to be around 700rwhp or so. I would hope that would get me in the mid to low 9's on my setup. Again, I'll step it up to a solid roller next year maybe as well as a more flowing intake. My heads flow 303/207 @ .600 now but I might open them up more too as soon as my porter recovers from his tripple bypass. Thanks Dave
