825/847, This is with a junk yard 6l lq9 long block. It has a LS6 cam and dual PRC spring and retainer kit. Heads have never been off the engine. Thanks to Dave at Bullseye for coming out and trying the new cover and upgrading from a 72 to a 74 here at Baker. The new cover alone was worth 20hp at the low boost level on the 72.

Did everyone have to change their pants after that pop of the boot. Sounded loud.

That is cool! The boot swells like a balloon before popping. What brand was it?

china brand lol! It was a crappy OBX coupler, he has a Treadstone coupler on it now. It scared the crap out of us and I am sure the turbo didn't like it either.

Pistons dont last in stock LSX motors with power adders....that I have seen. Most I saw were hurt by superchargers, Maybe turbos are easier on them.

Car went 10.66@139.83mph last night at Martin, with a 3950lb race weight. Not to shabby for a heavy 6sp. car at all, the clutch was smoking like a train though lol.

so are you guys still running the stock LQ9 cam? i would assume your running race fuel since i believe these motors are 10:1 comp. what total timing do you run? I appreciate all the info as i'm putting an LQ9 w/Z06 cam in my car with twin MP T70's. That GTO weighs about 600 pounds more than my coupe

Timing is in the 15 area plus or minus 1-2 depending on rpm at full boost. As high as 42 with no load. Yes that was with 110 and meth.

thanks, i keep hearing 15* as a good total advance for a boosted application. I think i remember you mentioning the Meth injection and the 110 fuel was more for safety than anything. Has he pushed it on pump fuel and meth yet?

In our eyes its not worth it to try on garbage fuel and break the engine. I wouldn't be comfortable above 600whp with pump gas on these cubes.

gotcha. you guys really got me thinking about switching from twins to that single S374. Do you think your at the potential of that turbo or just not willing to push the motor?
