Went back to the track last friday since it cooled off finally. A cool 78 degrees at 11pm with a DA of 4200 feet I bumped my rev limiter from 6900 to 7200 to see what would happen by running the car out a little further, All runs were done at 16psi 5psi launch [1.65] 10.29 @ 134.3 [tapped limiter in 2nd] 6psi launch [1.61] 10.15 @ 136.6 [hazed on launch] 5psi launch [1.65] 10.29 @ 135.9 I think a taller tire will really help me out by crossing in 2nd gear instead of 3rd, revving out the car was yielding higher trap speeds and better ET's. I was trapping between 108 and 109 in the 1/8 but only ET's 6.5-6.6. With some better 60's I'll go 9's Current setup is a 2000 Camaro SS, 1.00 A/R ST80 turbo, iron 6.0L, 2.75 rear gears, 25.6" tall hoosier radials on a 15" wheel, Th400 with Vig 2800 stall and a raceweight of 3800lbs Had a little run in with a 08 Hayabusa on the way home from the track too. From 65-125 I put 1 car on him and I gave him the move. I waved bye bye to him as I pulled away too, maybe I shouldn't have been so mean. He was running at the track tonight too, his best time was 10.4 @ 141, had a power commander and pipe. If you know bikes at all, this gives you an idea how slow stuff runs at our track. Most older busas only trap mid 130's

Vigilante 9.5", NA it stalls 2800-3000 which is a little tight for my turbo setup. I think it should be about 400 rpms looser so it spools faster, but I love the way the car drives and don't want to change it beacuse I might screw it up. It flashes to 5700ish under full boost and only has around 4% slip over 6500 rpms. You really think it spools good on the brake? I'm on the brake for 2.5-3 seconds at the track to get to 5-6psi after I foot brake the car into the beams around 1psi. It's tough to leave good on a pro tree, but I can do it sometimes when I get everything right. Never tried a sportsman tree which would probably be better.

From the vid it appeared that it spooled pretty quick, a few seconds isn't a big deal IMO. If you need, just start spooling it as you are pre-staged and then bump it in to stage on the tbrake. Loosening the converter will just make the car push through it once you turn the boost up some more. I'd keep the converter as tight as you can tolerate.
