Bullseye Power first in the 8's in a FWD street car.
« on: October 13, 2008, 07:04:20 AM »

This weekend one of our sponsored drivers was the first to break into the 8's in a street legal front wheel drive Acura Integra. He did it with our S372R and our new race cover. Tony went 8.997 @ 167 then backed it up with a 8.97 @ 166. He did this on 26X10 slicks.

I would like to say a big congrats to Tony and his crew. It's pretty amazing what he has done with a frt wheel drive street car.

Congrats, but I wouldn't call them streetcars. LOL.  They run ice-filled liquid to air IC's and most use Q16.  Not to mention little or no suspension travel at all.

But yes, they are fast.  Power-to-weight is a good thing.

I am not sure what he is using to be honest. I suspect he is using the boost control option on the Motec. He is using the M800 Motec it's real pricey but one of the best engine managments out there.

Tony is good friend of mine and he spent quite some time on this setup from last year to this year.  With the s372R upgrade he did quite bit of work on the suspension and intercooler and intake design.

he is running the motec to control all functions of boost timing etc..

Tony is as good as it gets. I can't wait to see how much faster he can go when he does not have to lift inbetween shifts. 8.8 maybe.

The class tony runs in specifies air-to-air IC's only, you can see it in the front bumper.

I don't know if I would consider that car streetable with the exhaust coming out the hood, but it's a badass Honda for sure.

If he drove it to the track, it is a street car.  If it is trailered, it is a racecar with tags.

Tony's car is 2600 pounds and also 1.8ltrs not 3.8 ltr V6. For that V6 to run 8.9@157mph his car must not be very heavy.

Matt from Stattama is also in the 8's with his 3800.  Niether of which are tagged "street cars" and they both use wheelie bars.

Tag and no bars on Tony's car.

Yep, good stuff.  Wheelie bars can make a HUGE difference on a FWD 60ft.  Just shows how much faster that teg is good for.  Just FYI also Matt's car is 2420 w/driver

Lol.... That car is NOT street legal.

Not saying that any of my cars are legal... But its really cheesey for ricers to make there own racing class "FWD Street Legal" and then set the record in a car that dosn't meet that criteria.

Lets build a fwd 454 TT Trike. register it as a motorcycle and run 6.xx in that class.

Fuk it. lets put a helicopter turbine in a CRX. we can get an inspection sticker from a gas station for $50.
