sooo.... Getting smoke out the exaust, trying to figure out ideas before I tear into it... So brand new engine just rebuilt. Brand new heads with new seals PCV settup is -10 hose from each valve cover to a catch can. I want to put suction to the can from before the turbo, however there isnt much oil/pressure coming out of the valve covers... Maybe turbo seals gone bad? I have restrictors in the oil feeds, oil pressure at idle is 85psi... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/TT05Stang-Dyno_701164.htm

Im having same problem. I checked my down pipe off my tubo and its dry as a bone, I pulled all plugs, and my nuber 3 is black and smells like gas, my tuner insured me it was not to rich, so now Im thinking I have a hurt piston or my rings, what pisses me off is its a 10,000 motor, brand new with 800 miles on it, and I have no clue who could have done this, either the tuner or maybe a faulty part on the build, I have used all top of the line parts all the way down to the upgraded bolts.
Im trying to figure out now who the hell I can trust to get it right now, and Im running out of options. I just want to be able to drop it off and know when they say the car is ready that means the damn thing is ready not some bull shit that is making wierd noises and they say its normal.... Sorry Im just pissed

It could be the turbo seals. Was the turbo new or used when you installed it on the new motor? As was mentioned check your DP and see if it oiled and look into the exh wheel as well. Is your oil return out of the the turbo large enough?

-10AN on each turbo to the pan. Same settup as before with the same turbos, and it didnt smoke before. Only difference as I mentioned above is the heads/cams/oil pump gears/ and lockouts.

Was the motor hurt before you reinstalled the heads and such? Sometimes if thats the case debris can damage the turbo. I would pull the DP and take a look. If thats ok then I would look at what was changed. IE: the heads as in valve seals. The exh ports would show if there was an issue there.

Shattered oil pump gears took out the bearings and cam journals. Thats why I pruchaced the new heads, and cams. Engine was totally rebuilt and hot tanked. Everything was cleaned, intake was purchased new. Possibly it could have gotten material in the turbo, but it would ahve to go past the oil filter. I just found out that the oil pump gears possibly have more oil pressure than stock, so that might be pushing past the seals... these downpipes are a BITCH to take off...
