Sounds like a dumb question, but just currious.with old short block we shifted at 7500rpm. The car lives on C16 gas now along with better shortblock
4.6 manley billet rods 10.5.1 compression fr500 cams, valves and springs ported 03 cobra heads
So anyone with this combo? And how many rpms are u turning?

The Intake opening event @.050 is 3deg ATDC The Intake closing event @.050 is 35 deg ABDC
The Exhaust opening event @.050 is 33 deg BBDC The Intake closing event @.050 is 5 deg BTDC
have you look at you cams specs? have you run it on the dyno & see were it makes power?
That will tell you were you should rev it to. It don't matter the fuel that you use, if the heads are ported or the rods that you use to built the motor ...

I know its dont matter if the heads or ported or fuel type.I was just letting people know what were using. The old motor was only spun to 7500rpm because it had h-beam rods. But alot of things have changed now, more compression, twin T4 76mm turbos, rosseler th400,neil chance convertor, etc. Old setup with 61mm t3/t4 made 1060 through a lentech, 1172 with 6 speed both on 30 psi, and 15 degrees of timing.

Gotcha. We have run h beams up to 8000rpm with no issues. That is amazing I never seen a twin T4's 61's setup make that much power threw an Auto.<glide, lentech,T400,C4> I seen them make about 1100 threw a 6speed but never threw an Auto & we have Dyno Lot's of them... I have run both setups, even run twin t4's billet 67's @ 33psi And also tested twin T4's billet 76's @ 31psi Men can you post some pics of that BEAST & the race car, maybe some videos? That thing got to be a monster.! What it runs? Are you doing all that with the stock ECU? What meter are you ussing? What type of converter is it, bolt together or the new billet one? what type of springs are you running stock FR500's? Who is tunning it?

They are not off the shelve 61mm!The biggest 61mm that fit in a t3 exhaust housing.

1st video are twin billet 67's in the first 5 runs. <the 67's at the track were fair to spool, but nothing near the twin 61's> On the other 9 runs not on the video we were testing twin billet 76's out of a costumers car <to get those spool at the track, that was a mission> 2nd video are twin 61's ,running out of fuel<the biggest 61's that you can run on aT4 housing>lol I run a classic F.A.S.T with MSD dizzy setup & msd 3 step with Aerospace manual brakes...<glide> ps# once the trans brake is on, the brakes are not working that hard been there done that, now testing every other possible way...lol

Thanks Udo

Hello,
thanks for answer. I just thinking to get FR500 cams little less overlap. But I will now install at the specs and maybe we can adjust on dyno an see results.
