1 more time- YOUR SPRINGS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM! VALVE FLOAT DOES NOT HAPPEN AT 4200rpm AND ONLY 8 PSI, the post above is a car with double the boost. And your springs are not "entry level springs", up until 1 year ago they were all that was available and we made 800+ RWHP on many turbo cars making 30+ psi, here is one:

Now if you still want to blame those "entry level comp springs" as you call it go ahead, we are trying to help but we can only tell you so many times.
I agree!
Can you post a pic of the engine bay of that car?

I had endura tech valve springs that had 112lbs of seat pressure in 05. Crower had springs with 100lbs on the seat at that time also.

i see comp has the beehive which are at 93 seat
and they also have some at 120 seat

will the higher seat pressure put more wear/stress on the stainless valves? trying to learn all i can about this car, thanks for the help.

Hos doing it?

wes ratcliff

going talk to the trans builder to see what he thinks about the trans being the problem since it's the only thing that changed since this latest problem has started. was pulling like a freight train before the trans broke, had it rebuilt and now it's dragging down under load. went thru all other options other than new tune and everything checked out.

well, the transmission lost 3rd gear once again tonight. tried to roll into some low bost and it lost 3rd completely. 1st and 2nd were pulling like a freak though, so the trans goes back to the specialist monday morning under warranty for the fix. hopefully back on the dyno next weekend.

finally got to drive this thing some tonight. for some reason in lockup it lays over in 3rd and barely builds rpm.  Fuck Fuck!

but with the lockup off, hold the fuk on son!!!!!!!!!!!!! i figure screw the lockup for now. i need to have some much needed fun in this damn thing lol

had the mickeys at 18psi and on 8pounds of boost with 14* timing i roasted 1st and 2nd with them heated up. feels great to hear this thing scream like a demon finally! and it does sound frikin awesome too!!! Two Thumbs Up!  Cheers! Cheers!

shakedowns friday night at the track hopefully on the low boost. remember this is just the break in tune with minimal tweaking. still got a ways to go, it's gonna be a beast!

tuned it today.  Two Thumbs Up!

got to 13 psi and valves started floating some at 5800, tried 14 psi and it was breaking up real bad, so i backed it down to 12 and called it a day. no float and car feels good for 12 pounds for sure! lol

gonna get some springs in a few months and up the boost once this feels slow. made 485/460 on a mustang dyno with weather correction without lockup on. sucka makes power the entire time to 6500 too! we were picking up 42 hp per pound of boost once we started upping it 1 at a time. very nice gains in my eyes for a non lockup auto behind this thing! Cheers!

DUDE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT MMR HAS RAN THOSE SAME SPRINGS UP TO 30PSI AND 8 SECOND TIMES... THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE FLOATING THEM AT YOUR POWER AND BOOST LEVEL..

I was being sarcastic incase anyone couldnt tell...

2v have valve spring issues very early on....

that car doesn't have comp springs in it, owner verified that. no use arguing, i know i need springs. wish they would have been rite, but oh well. it'll be fun for now, just have to wait till beast mode happens unfortunately...

droped the boost to 8.9 and got a 11.24@122 w/a 1.69 60'
very happy with the first time results, mainly i didn't break anything finally.
next time it's leaving in boost off the t-brake!  Two Thumbs Up!
