That doesn't sound low to me for 302cid and 6psi. Is it a 302? Is it a manual?

You rarely see manuals here. Autos with looser than stock converters multiply torque and knock off a good bit of power. A good 302 will put out around 375lb-ft of torque independent of cam and intake. A small long running intake, small cam engine might make this 375lb-ft at 3000rpm and a single plane intake, big cam engine might put out the same torque at 4500rpm. Now a small long running intake, small cam 302 might make peak power at 4800rpm and put out 325Hp. The single plane intake, big cam engine might put out 450Hp at 6500rpm. For a 302 your intake and cam are inbetween. Your numbers tell me that your engine's peak power is in the 5500-6000rpm range. Not a stump puller or high rever either one. 375lb-ft less 15% drivetrain loss is 319lb-ft. 6psi of boost will be a (6+14.7)/14.7=1.41 or 41% gain. 319lb-ft X 1.41 = 449lb-ft Everything makes since to me.

I tend to think your gears are not helping any with torque. You are not loading the turbo enough for big torque numbers down low. Put some 3:55's in it and I think you will be surprised how much different it drives on the street.

Ya thats what my friend/ tuner says to, that if i change gears itll make a difference, im swapping this cobo into my other car, and while im at it, im wrapping all my hot side, putting a turbo blanket on, and installing a built 4R70W along with 327-355 gears, am i heading for 500 rwhp with only 6psi, can i do it with only these small little changes??

if you want 500rwhp keep the 5 speed, if you want track times get the auto. both will work, it will just take more boost.
