What jetting and boost?  The idle restrictor is in the metering block.  The idle discharge is in the base plate.  Which baseplate are you using?

it was the alky baseplate and 76f and 84 back 10psi it was snappy while it was cold but it got rich fast. I was trying to get more adjustability .I am running a standard 850 choke horn milled and epoxied with a 8.5 pv air bleeds are stock.

Where are the idle mixture screws set?  Primary idle screws only?  What was A/F ratio at WOT?

I didnt drive it because it was black smoking at idle. it has 4 corner idle screws they were 1 1/2 turns out it wasnt flooding thru the boosters  I wonder if it was the baseplate?. I ran it at denton last weekend it ran a 6.95 at 103 with a 11.9 afr with the standard 850.
