Out of the ones you have listed as cast form non cnc heads I'd got with the victor jrs. You can never go wrong with those and if you want to get them ported there's plenty of people who know/have programs for those heads.

Victor jr's for me, although for a 393, you could probably get away with the victor heads.

They only come bare that I know of. Bare always cost more in the long run. But about 800 I think more than a Jr. You need room though. Mine are 2in primary minimum, but an older set. Some of the newer are 1 7/8. But don't know that I would look too far into unless you were looking for a lot of power.

Did you look into the TW Fast As Cast heads? They are basically a cast version of their CNC heads. They have a 190cc intake runner at a reasonable price.

yeah i have looked at those also along with the high port heads but i dont think with my pistons i can run the twisted wedge style head? possibly the high ports because i dont think those are twisted wedge style? I was just leaning more towards the victor jrs over the high ports, only because it seems like more people like the victor jr over the high port. But thats all just hear say so iam still un sure? Seems like they are all good heads.

Scratch my last post i just talk to trick flow and none of their heads will work with my set up. So i have to stick with my original options, victor jr, track1, or pro 1.

I was very happy with my Brodix M2 Track 1 heads on my 347 with a D1 procharger setup. They are not working as well for my 347 in n/a form- ( probably too large ports for 347.) They would probably be better on something like your 393 that needs more flow.

I'd stick with the eddy heads. Heli coils holes, better metal, assembled with better parts.

Aw Yeah
|
why won't the high ports work? They are an inline valve head like the rest? Without afr in the mix, the Vic jr's or high ports would be my choice.

I noticed there isn't many people on here running AFR heads. 205's or 225's would work great! There have fully cnc machined intake & exhaust ports as well as combustion chambers, very thick deck for power adder aplications and there not much more than the other heads listed.

People here run AFR heads. However, they seem to have fallen out of favor lately
