I asked a carb shop to modify my 650 holley for Blow-thru and they said its too small for my set up that i need a 750 or better.
My set up consist of stock 302 bottom end, Edelbrock performer rpm heads, Victor JR. intake manifold, and a intercooled 70mm turbo kit.
What do ya think?

I think I wouldn't have them work on it no matter what carb you have. Is a 650 too small for that engine NA? Hell no, and with boost it makes the whole engine bigger including the carb.

definitely not too small, and I would consider finding a new shop to mod your carb

That 650 isn't to small you will have a little quicker responds than the 750 you will be fine. my 2 cents!

I run a 575cfm carb with annular boosters on my 350 and its perfect. You should tell them they haven't a F$$%^&** Clue and that they need to learn about boosted carbs...Before they attempt to build one!
(I really am tired of idiots telling me my carb is too small-It happens all the time-I used to take the time to explain but I grew tired of it.)

(I really am tired of idiots telling me my carb is too small-It happens all the time-I used to take the time to explain but I grew tired of it.) [/quote] I had one of these the other day, not to highjack the thred but... I had my hood open and some guy came by and started talking and said I really should put a scoop in the hood and direct into into the air filter. That way it would actually push the air into the turbo and I would see a huge gain in power. I told him that I think the turbo is probably pushing enough air into the motor already. oh well. Yea, a 650 is good for you. Get another shop!

WoW thankx guys. I thought it would be fine cuz i saw a guy on youtube on the dyno putting down 700whp+ on a modded 650 blowthru.
Can anyone recommend a shop to send my Carb too?? I really would prefer local but so far local dont know what there talking about. I live in NY but would travel anywhere in the tri-state area Long island, NJ, PA.
