No , ... well let me rephrase that .. Yes you can if you want a big pile of melted , broken and generally fucked up junk .. If that's what your after then fill your boots .

Restrict the HSAB's to about .025", take out the PV protector and jet up 5 sizes and you should be OK. But then you have modded it. It might work w/o removing the PV protector. The other problem is brass floats collapsing. I have never seen a test on how much pressure they can withstand.

12# of fuel pressure?
I think he was trying to say if he was to run 5 lbs of boost he would need at least 12 psi before the reg to be able to regulate it.. 6.5 psi base + 5 psi for boost = 11.5-12 psi boosted fuel pressure ..... But I could be wrong.....

Do the hanger 18 mods on this site. Its inexpensive. Why try and make something work that isnt designed to. Im not sure the stock floats will like the boost!

it really is simple to make those mods. some people get scarred when you talk about modifying a carb, i was kinda on eof them. but it really is simple stuff once you take the time to look at it.

No.
5psi is a pretty good amount for a stock carb.
I just worked halfway on hangar 18 mods for a carb. 3lbs of boost on a test and it went to 13-14 air/fuel. ....needs more mods...and I know what I'm doing
Stock carb and your shit is going to blow up in a hurry. Restricting HSAB's is a good start
