Methanol is not that expensive. I have to drums of it and it comes out to $1.8 a gallon (by the drum) or about $2.50 if you by it by the gallon. At least thats what it is around here.
Are you guys running the methanol with the top end lube in it?

Its a top end lube to help coat the valves and seals. Our 4 stroke drag bikes run 100% methanol and need the lube to help the vavle's and seals from wearing so I would assume this would be the case with our car motors, but it might not be as important since its being run as a mixture with gas.

Mixing in the lube is to help provent the meth from eating up at the pump. The meth is sprayed in such low quantity and so infrequently that it really doesn't do anything to the motor.

I use a SP kit, running only water though. I can't run the risk of the pump failing on me.
