Not sure if everyone already knows so don't hate me if this is old news.

http://www.napaonline.com
search for hose clamps...page 13-16 can't remember exactly
You can get T bolt clamps for 2.6? for 2.5" and 2.99 for 3".  You can also get constant torque clamps for 3.99.  I think I also saw the spring loaded T bolt clamps for 4.29.

Regarding the turbos mentioned at the top of the list, are these the so called "2nd generation" turbos that use ball bearing in order to spool up quicker to avoid "turbo lag"?  I have heard that older turbos produced a lot of turbo lag but the newer generations don't.  Can you shed some light on this?

You won't be getting into ball bearing stuff in the JY.  YOu will be buying it used from someone, using in the t60 and up area.  I am not saying you won't find a BB turbo in the Jy, but it will be a very nice find if you do.  the bb helps to reduce friction and therefore decrease spool time.  If you have a whole lot of money to spend, or an aftermarket block, you should look into BB stuff.

Can you give me some references to BB turbo manufacturers?  Also, do any newer cars come with BB, if so, which ones??

BB is an accessory that you can get in probably any turbo you order PTK calls it roller bearing.  I can't think of any cars that would have come with BB's.  If you are looking for a BB turbo just b/c you think it will not cause turbo lag, you are mistaken.  Turbo lag comes from improperly matched housings and turbos that are too big.  the T3's above will split your block, and spool at the late 2000 rpm area.  That is low enough for you to not worry about turbo lag, b/c if you are getting on it you will be at at least 2500 rpms when you shift.

BB is an accessory?   Doesn't BB stand for ball bearing?  Wouldn't that be a "feature" of the turbo, rather than an "accessory"?  Or am I completely off...

R33 nissan skylines came with ball bearing ceramic turbine turbochargers that should spool like a champ. But they are over priced impossible to get in a JY and not to mention will delaminate turbine wheel and shaft if you run too much boost.

Im assuming this thread is leaning to twin turbo setups is the fact JYs dont have to many large vehicles with big singles. Most people are looking at turboing a car themselves to save money buying a new turbo from the get go is not usually a money saver.

If you are looking for cummins stuff, type in hy or hx and look for anything less than probably 50

the cummins stuff comes as hx35 hx40 etc.  anything under hx50 or hy50 will be good enough.  Do a search for cummins and there will be alot of different turbos pop up

Hello, i have a stock EFI 302 and i want to run 6-8psi. i was wondering if i could just run 1 small TBO344 turbo from the 80's t-bird turbo coupes, or is it just to small to run 1? Also what diameter piping would u recomend? Last do i have to use a cross-over pipe or can i get away with running the turbo off 1 side of the motor? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
