Just figured I post my most recent dyno graph for you guys to look at. The reason for the lines up and down is tire spin. If you go by rpm it would cross 500rwhp the spin and drop 40-50rwhp then start again. I think it should have gone higher just guessing that 512 is all that it would do before spinning. Hope it will go in the 530 range with the current setup.
2.3t non stroker build bottom half holset hx35 npr 83pd injectors msd
yadda yadda its a long ass list.

What is that turbo comparable too? How much did the build cost? Any head work? Car looks like it should move out!

An hx-35 is compairable to anything that flows 52lbs/min. Think a 60-1 or maybe a t3-t4 hybrid with a big exhuast. The compressor wheel is only 54 mm. So the limit to power should be around where I am at now.
I'm looking into the hybrid hx35/40 which can use a 61mm hi flow wheel.
The car is a blast to drive it makes it peak torque right at 4100rpm and max power around 6k. Spools very fast and if you didn't know better you would think it's a v-8 car because of how fast the pull comes on.

I have had a couple Turbo Coupes and missed out on a cheap SVO before. Hmmm, how much do you have in that combo and what is the complete combo?

Alot of updates in there. I didn't relize it had gone on so long since I changed it.
I have dynoed it several times other then the 2 posted and can say that the cam timing running just 2 degrees retarded helped the car out and actually added about 10hp. Usally they just move it but it added. Also the afr on the run listed above after reviewing the sheets they emailed me show the afr was well below 10:1 for most of the run. Also the tires spinning affected things.
As for how much money I don't know but would guess around 5k or so. I know I did 436rwhp for 3k. Just goes to show how it increases alot the higher you go.

Awesome!! My father is building an '86 SVO with a Turbonetics T3/T4 hybid and one of the stinger headers and downpipe combo on a Esslinger ported head with a A237 cam. Hoping to get 350rwhp out of it when all is said and done. How are you liking the SDS system. He was looking at the EEC-tuners but I'm trying to talk him into stand-alone. He also has a gutted/rotated upper with ported lower. Think he is going to use a used Vortech aftercooler he picked up for cooling. He kinda ran out of money (spends too much on horses LOL) so it is slow going but someday. Mike

The sds is a really nice system. The customer support is top notch to say the least. I have had to have mine repaired 2 times due to me not thinking enough before I acted. They took care of me both times with very little hassel.
I hope that when I dyno again the tires won't be spinning at all. I put a larger tire on it and also moved to a drag radial. That should help alot.
The extra hp will come from leaning it out but also the timing is pretty low considering the set up. It's generally excepted that optimul timing is 26-28 total. Hope from a bit better tune and more agressive timing that it will get another 25-30rwhp. Next time up though i'm not shooting for low 500's i'm heading after 600rwhp. Should have some mid to hi results soon and 600 numbers with the hx35/40 turbo.
Thanks for the replies!

How far are you able to wrap that motor out? The 61mm compressor is the shit with the proper sized turbine housing, though you might wanna go with a ported shroud because it is compressor surge friendly.

The dyno chart is mph/speed rather then rpm hence the curve looking odd. The reason I posted that one is the rpm one looked very odd because of tire spin. The power would go up then tires would spin a bit and it would drop 50-60rwhp. Did that ever few hundred rpm so it looks very crazy on an rpm scale.
I only take the car to 6500rpm or so. It goes a bit higher before I can shift it in the first two gears. The bottom should withstand well over 7500rpm but my car doesn't make power in that range with this set up. The 54 mm compressor works great just wanted to get more flow. Mine currently still has the anti surge and I plan on keeping it as it can't hurt. Hoping for a nice jump in power moving to the 61mm hi flow set up.

He's probably using XSPower(or w/e their name is) ebay wastegate, just a copy of tials, but much cheaper.

It's one of the xs power units. I don't like the gate and will be replacing it before long.
The car ran in the mid/low 11's at 127 on that pass.

What would be an easy basic combo to make 400ish rwhp with one on boost only, then spray a 100 shot on top to make 500+? Keeping the stock computer and tuning with SCT chip would be preferred. I have searched around on turboford but that site sucks ass from a searching standpoint, I hate UBB. I have a basic grasp of what different setups make on the 2.3's but the numbers are all over because it seems like more often than not you have guys with setups that SHOULD make power but make like 300 rwhp, then you have guys like yourself that actually make really good power.

Werd! 11.5@127.9mph yeah that is a stock crank. The 400rwhp is easy to get but fueling it will stock stuff is tricky. I doubt you can make 400rwhp on all stock electronics.
