You may have already thought about it but if you want a faster spool time, wrap all the exhaust pipes going to the turbo. It retains a lot more heat.

I finally have all of my parts now. I changed from a 90mm LMAF to the 80mm version to better match my 3" charge pipe. I also got some 39lb EV6 injectors and a GT40 fuel pump. I got the pump from my local Ford dealership for a mere $100. The fun part is going to be dropping the tank to install the pump. I need a lift since the truck is lowered. I am just waiting on a nice warm day to do it.

On my remote mount turbo, I had some trouble making big power(I know that's not your primary goal). When I was trying to figure out the problem, I welded a small tube and fitting in the exhaust track and after 3-5ft hooked up a rubber tube to a boost gauge. At full boost (10lbs) the exhaust track was showing 30 lbs of back pressure. I reworked the plumbing for the exhaust and the cold side, and got the boost exhaust back pressure down to 20lbs at full boost. Spooled up much quicker, but I cooked the engine before I could get back on the dyno. Might be something to do just for information sake.

70 degrees? You futhermucker...I live in the midwest and we FINALLY got a day that was above 20. Now the wind is out of the north again. I just want spring/summer to come. I have never looked forward to it like this year.
How did you rework the exhaust on your car when you got a 30psi backpressure? And can you clarify how you measured that?
Chris
