Just noticed that mine is taking a crap on me today.  Shaft play is causing it to hit the sides of the housing under load.  Anyone know who can rebuild these and how expensive is it?

Anyone know a reputable shop or site that will sell Master Power rebuild kits?  Like bearings or seals ?
Master Power are pretty good turbos for the price.  I mean, any turbo's bearings and sealls will evetually go sooner or later, nothing is indestructable or else noone would make money or the government would put a stop to there products. ......

Great thread, I bet most of us have wondered about this at some point so the poll results are worthy of interest. Can you tell me why it says total voters = 20 ? A quick tally says about 350 votes ....

If these results were accurate I would like to see how the results compare to a similar tally of brand name turbos , do they have small percentage of early life failures too ?

 Two Thumbs Up!

Regarding the discussion on oil pressure feed to the turbo - is there a thread on this ? How much is too much to the turbo ? Or is it trial and error ? You dont want to restrict it too far either ....

my mustang has 90 psi oil pressure at idle when cold, i put a #3 line on my mpt70 and then blocked off my oil adaptor and drilled a 1/16th inch hole in it as a restrictor, works great,no smoking.

Something happened a while back to the forum and in the restore process the total voter count got messed up despite the tally being retained

Do the T70's or MP's need a restrictor?   My car pulls around 30ish psi at idle

Do you have any restriction on the oil feed?
