Im new to this forum but ive been a long time lurker/learner on this site, ive abused the search button for quite some time now.... onto the fun stuff, im currently in the process of building a 1989 notchback stank with a single turbo 5.3 lsx series motor heres a general run down of the build 89 notch some weight removal 8 point cage weld in sub frame connectors boxed control arms ,poly bushings 4 cyl front springs with 90/10 drag struts v8 rear springs with 50/50 drag shocks built 8.8 moser 31 spline axles w/ c-clip elims strange 31 spline spool girdle cover 15x3.5 draglites with 165r front tires 15x10 drag lites with 275/60/15 M/t drag radials BIG fmic custom built turbo kit with ceramic ball bearing T76 04 5.3 ls1 car intake ported tb arp rod bolts comp 212/218 and .522/.529 lift on 114 LSA comp 918 valve springs comp 7.4 hardened pushrods Built th400 reverse pattern full manual valve body tci 3800 converter 16 gallon aluminum cell aeromotive a1000 fuel pump/ boost ref reg 60 lb injectors tuned with hp tuners My sbc rx7 went 11.27@129 last year at our 2800 ft elavation with a garbage converter/launch so im hoping for mid to low 10s out of this car sorted out below are some pics of the motor/turbo along with the rx7 Let me know what you think of both the rx7 and the new build Small video of the car ,our s-10 and a few friends cars in action this summer http://videos.streetfire.net/video/3a9b248d-b8b6-446a-be05-988b00e5dcac.htmA humorous video of " the batmobile" some of the same footage along with the motor popping on the dyno after roughly 400-500 lbs of nitrous were ran threw the stock bottom end 700 dollar beast she let go due to my VERY aggressive tune ahhh well was on its way to making over 500 rwhp and 600 rwtq considering it made 457rwhp and 550rwtq at only 4500 rpm on its last pull http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9a110b7a-b3f5-4147-8dd9-98ac016dd53a.htm

Should be a bad ride. Doesn't matter what's in it if it goes. What's up with the whiskey, fuel pump and pocket book?

Fuck that. If it was a carbed 350 I'd yawn, but an lsx is easily one of the finest engines ever created, regardless of what it's in. Good choice. Blind brand loyalty is retarded.

Something about Turbonetics turbo's they always seem larger. That 76 looks really big. Keep your thread updated, cool combo.

Why would the Ford Boys hate you? It's just a re-badged ford motor, doesn't matter what it's called.

Do you still have a stock 5.0 sitting around??? Take the lsx head, and set it down on the block. Then bolt it on. You'll be amazed hwo well the studs/bolts line up.

ya i know bolt spacing/bolt holes are in the same location alot of builders actually use sbf torque plates on the lsx motors but other then that they share nothing in similarities the heads are completley different the blocks are different rotating assembly etc etc etc
