First time out this year, and it ended up being a pretty good night. Improved my personal best 1/8th mile time to a 6.78 @ 104.25. I've got the slip, and will post it below. I've also got a couple videos from a couple runs earlier in the evening. Should have the video of the 6.78 at some point later today. It's on my buddies camera, and he won't have time to upload it until then. I'll post it as soon as I can. In the meantime... Here are the other videos... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/e0c64fc5-0327-466b-9122-993100032585.htmhttp://videos.streetfire.net/video/7497b8dc-1e8a-4858-80b5-9931000713cf.htm Here's a couple pics a buddy of mine took... The car doesn't 60' well due to the bone stock front suspension. It doesn't matter to alot of guys, but it's a legitimate street car, driven to the track and back home on the Mickey Thompsons. It's driven to the local meets etc., and would be driven more if 93 octane wasn't $3.50 a gallon. Stock block, stock crank, stock rods, stock pistons, and stock ported E7 heads.

Awesome! What turbo are you using? Is it fuel injected? Auto or 5-speed?

Thanks man. It's the Hellion kit with the 62mm Turbonetics. It is fuel injected, and the tranny is a Powerglide. Runs were made at 13psi.

Heads have never been off the car since I've owned it, so honestly I have no idea. It shouldn't be anything fancy though. Prior to the turbo, it was just a mid to low 8 second NA car.

You ain't lying man. It's even better when you're going to / leaving the track, and you pass them driving your car while they are trailering theirs. Here's the vid of the 6.78...can't even hear my car thanks to the racer in the left lane. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/wm/9c7803be-2fa3-48bb-a7e9-9931010a51bd.htm

115,000+ mile stock block, stock crank, stock rods, ported stock E7 heads, ported Cobra upper and lower intake, Edelbrock 70mm tb, B303 cam, 1.7 rr's, Hellion Kit (62mm Turbonetics Turbo, intercooler, 42lb injectors, C&L MAF, 255lph fuel pump), Powerglide Transmission, Hurst Quarter Stick, Bradco Converter w/ steel stator(4200rpm stall), Moser 33-spline axles, spool, 4.10's (too much gear), SFC's, UPR adjustable uca's, custom made adjustable lca's, Strange adjustable shocks, Mickey Thompson ET Drags. Afco aluminum Radiator, and electric fan, AEM TruBoost electonic boost controller, Autometer Cobalt boost and water temp gauges all of which are really hard on my stock alternator.
Front suspension is still bone stock (struts, k-member, a-arms etc.) hence the lack of weight transfer on the launches.
That pretty much does it.

I wanted a tranny that would handle alot more power than I'm making now, so I bought a used glide out of an outlaw car. It's been down in the 5.40 range in the 1/8th, so I knew it was something I could grow into, as opposed to buying something else now, then needing something stronger down the road. It's always best to look ahead and spend your money once. I think I have a tad too much gear, but am fine with the stall. I probably should have went 3.73's, but figured the 4.10's would get the car rolling since it only sees the local 1/8th mile. I originally had 3.27's in it when I first got the kit on there. Surprisingly enough, it ran a 6.97 @ 101 with those gears and worn out DR's. Thanks for the compliment.

How much street driving do you do? How does the glid perform on the street? I've got a PG case, and am thinking about building it this winter. C-4 stuff is just too expensive.... Nate

Glide does fine on the street. With the 4.10's, it's turns quite a few rpms, so I don't do a whole lot of highway driving.. .other than to the track, which is a pretty good haul. If you want to set up a Glide for the street, your bread and butter is going to be your converter. The guy who built mine knew it was still a street car that I like to beat on at the track, so he set it up accordingly.

Thanks man.
I guess at this point, the goal is 6.40's with as close to the same amount of boost I'm currently pushing. Hoping to do it with suspension & weight reduction. If I can hit those, I'll be ecstatic.

Very Very impressive...I like the idea of a glide, I thought you needed alot more power to make it worth your while...I see I was way off. Hope you hit the 6.4x you are looking for derek

Front sway bar has been removed, as well as the A/C. Everything else up front is bone stock...struts, springs, k-member, a-arms, still has power steering, battery is up front etc. Rear suspension consists of SFC's, adjustable upper and lower control arms, and Strange 10-way adjustable shocks.
