I decided to go hardcore with my cobra which had a 425RWHP P1SC blown 347 (..yes, this has been a long ass project). After the blower took a crap on me, it sat for a while as I tried to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I put a vid together on my progress so far, but its gonna be a long process as I really only work on it during the weekends. Trying to do something a little different, and do as much of the fabrication myself as possible. Yea its a real cobra, but wasn't original when I got it so don't bash me if your a resto freak. Thanks. Are those installed over the factory control arm mount or did you totaly replace them? If you replaced them which it looks in the picture that you did, did you happent to measure where the control arm height ended up compared to factory. I am wondering weither those bracket will give adjustment up and down or just down and how much. Also very nice job on the minitubing, I have never seen someone not the frame like that but it diffently allows for the most tire clearance possible.

88GT17MA, car will be 80% street car. Definately not a dedicated track car. Will likely see mostly weekend duty both racing and shows.
GPowrie, I did remove the original control arm/shock mounts. Competion Eng puts these in their kit as a bolt on inside the current control arm mounts that do provide adjustability unlike the originals. Fortunately, they are made of some thick gauge so I designed them to just replace the original mounts. I moved the bracket mounting location inwards about 4 inches for the tire clearance. I can still adjust the control arms up within the bracket, but I currently have them on the lower mounting hole which put the control very close to stock distance from the axle tube.
With the adjustable upper and lower control arms, including the adjustment I can make with the mounting location of the lower, I can pretty much adjust the rear to be exactly center and any pinion angle. Should be nice with the adjustable coil overs when i play with ride height.
I plan on adding more pics once a week. Got the whole interior and carpet out and mocking up the cage. 8 point.
thanks,
michael
