I have a single turbo and single 4" exhaust dumped.  I had a 4" Dynomax bullet and I joke that the car was louder than open downpipe.  I just went to a Splitflow 4" muffler.  It's straight thru like an XR1.

Here is a vid with my old 4" bullet... inside and out:

Here is a clip of the Pinks Camaro, NA and dual exhaust with bullets about a foot off the headers... very loud:

I've had that Ultraflow Welded big barrel muffler on my car too, when it was a 422ci NA setup.  I went from a 4" Flowmaster to that muffler.  That muffler sounds deep, and it's straight through.  It just won't fit under my passenger side seat where I have the Splitflow.

I have a 4" magnaflow that looks like the Dynomax in the pic above.  It does take up a lot of room...  On the shelf.  LOL, my Turbo Mustang has 3" oval Ultraflows.

of the straight through mufflers which ones are the quietest for idle and cruising?  I will be running turn downs and no cats.

Right now i'm trying to decide between the following:

dynomax ultraflow's
magnaflow's
hooker Maxflow's
bassani (they make a cat back with turn downs for a decent price)

Here thought I'd through these up here since I just got them uploaded.

Stock 5.0 twin t3's, 2 1/2" exhaust, Summit H-Pipe, and Summit Catback (yes it's restrictive).  Sounds bone stock, can't even hear the car over the sound of the fan, gets a little louder when you get on it, but not much.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cks5Kid8Ijc

Same exact setup as above except without the catback.  Noticeably louder now, sounds cool for a little bit, but gets annoying after a while.  The turbos spool a hell of a lot quicker now as I can actually get boost in first gear now.

Doesnt seem like there are alot of poeple using SLP catbacks on here.... mostly dynomax.  Im running SLP's on my car (NA) right now and really like them.  Its the LM1 catback so its a straight through design. You would think that more turbo guys would be running them.  Any reason why they arent?

I dunno...I had Dynomax straight-thru style mufflers on my old stock block setup also.

I too was told the turbos quiet things down but sadly disagree. Here is my TT427 from the other night. I just installed Tang housings with 3-1/2" V-bands and upsized to 4" off a 3-1/2' 90*, these are dumped right after the engine. I am waiting on a pair of  Dynomax 4" Ultra Flows

I didn't watch your link since my computer's so slow, but...

When I put 2 Dynomax race bullets (4") on my car that had a single 4" exhaust going straight back from the downpipe to the rear axle I didn't notice any change in noise at all from an open downpipe. They were both pretty much juast as loud as eachother with maybe a slight difference.

Now it has a dual 3.5" exhaust with some Borla mufflers and sounds much nicer.
