Great job it looks good. Nice to see someone stick to a project especially after that long, and not end up getting rid of it on eBay. The rims...the color...the hood(no choice)...interior...fuel...axle...brake system..looks great and clean. Builds like this give me hope for my own. I wish you the best and hope to hear it soon. Great Job!!

just so everyone knows...that is not a fuel cell in the trunk!!...lol. That is the ice/water tank for his water/air intercooler. The red thing laying horizontal is the aeromotive fuel pump and filter system which is correctely mounted next to the GAS TANK!!! Its right there!!! lol. u guys are scaring me....

Thanks for the compliments. It has been a fun long road. I have learned alot and will continue to learn alot through the testing and tuning phase. There will be some tuning vids soon, then to the track. To get the A/W intercooler to fit under the 4" cervini hood, First I had a three core single pass intercooler made by marty at IRCfabrication.com. Marty is a great guy a who can build anything, radiators, intercoolers, oil trans coolers, the core might be a half inch shorter than the vortech version. I emailed Marty the dimentions of the vortech piece and the lower plate that bolts to the lower intake, he did the rest. Next I crawled under the hood with the engine in the car, no radiator or waterpump to take measurements. I needed to lower the engine so I made engine mounts out of 3/8 stainless plate. This lowered the engine 1.5" and moved it back 1". The Brembo kit is the cobra R kit with the Silver or Focus RS calipers. The only difference in the calipers is the color. Yes the Keg in the trunk is the ice box for the intercooler. I love to fabricate. Using the keg for the icebox was a fun little project. The waterpump is inside the keg as well as a sheild to protect the pump from the ice when loading the tank or launching. to drain it a hose gets sliped inside the return (top line) and turn the pump on it is alot faster and easier than a drain plug or valve. The turbo is a S488 it has made 10 psi @ 4000 untuned. I hope to make a little more at a lower rpm when tuned. If I have trouble spooling it I will try a 1.08 A/R turbine housing.

Pretty nice set up you have there. You said the box on top of the motr is the air to water inter cooler? Looks kinda like the Vortech carb encloser box, thought maybe you was carbing it. Still it is a pretty nice build though I hope to see a vid soon too.

Well... I did go to the track and she does not spopol pretty good infact off the foot brake the car is down right lazy I ran a 11.7@129. Then cranked the boost to 15lbs and ran a 11.69@ 134. It was not going any where until 300ft or so. I will bet some vid of it up hopefully tonight. I found out what turbo I have so I could see if I should modify it or get a different one. It is a s400 with a Garrett 88mm compressor wheel that moves 120lbs/min and can support 1300hp. I am stepping down to a smaller t-6 style turbo. The s400-GT88 is for sale.

Do you have a transbrake? That should help spool that big ass turbo. What size turbine housing? How much for the turbo?

I do have a trans brake and it will spool the turbo. It took 8 seconds on the brake to do so. I also am looking into a two step. I am still going with a smaller turbo. I am looking for 900.00 for the s400-88. The turbo is perfect except for a small ding in the comp cover. It has a 1.32A/R turbine housing. There are 5 street miles, 12 dyno pulls, and 4, 1/4 mile passes on the turbo.

I put a smaller turbine housing on the turbo and next I am going to put a 2-step on it and dial it to at least 7lbs for the launch. It launched well on the street without a burnout @ 5lbs.

Yea Squeaky door, I need to fix that. Update- I changed the exhaust from the 4" dp which split into dual 3" MAC Dumps, to a 4" to a 4.5" XR1 Borla muffler. It did not help spool any but it did give the car more boost. I had it set to 18psi and it pegged my 20psi boost gauge. Then I took the boost controller off and attached a straight piece of hose to the top of the wastegate. It is a Tial 46mm gate with a 14psi spring. Before with this configuration it would make 13-14psi. Now it makes 18psi. What a difference, Flowmaster, Mac chambered or anything similar are not turbo friendly. Now I know how people have picked up XXhp with the removal of a flowmaster or other chanbered muffler.
