Dyno Results with a 306 & MPT70-- Best ET 9.75 @142

Well I went to Dyno today and I am very happy with the results with my 88 Mustang, 531RWHP & 534RWTQ with a 306, TFS TW Heads, stock cam, GT40 lower intake with a Hogan upper intake, C4 and 14lbs of boost with a MP T70., 2750lb Coupe, Best ET so far 9.75 @ 142

Nice numbers!!, car should haul azz!!! Low tens, possibly high 9's with a drag suspension. 531 whp through a C4 is fantastic! What rear gear? I'm working on a 306 w/a built C4 and a T-76.

Holy shit. We have the same set up except I am blow through. If you can get it to hook should be a high nine in it. Get it to the track for some real numbers and get back to us. Congrats.

Thanks guys, I am running 3:55 gears, I know I should have 3:27s , but I have a set but I am going to try 3:55s first, I think I have a full drag suspension covered, Wolfe rear control arms, Wolfe anti roll bar, Moroso drag front springs and Lakewood 90/10s & 50/50s. I built this Coupe with all spare parts that I had from other projects, so high 9s would be nice, but lets see if I can drive it.

Any track times yet Im very interested in this thread, I just bought a 89 Fox with 14k original miles, car has been garaged kept previous owner made me a offer I couldn't refuse. Im converting the car over from S/C to Turbo and putting in a freshened up stock block with forged rods,and TW Pistons. Car has a C4 and a Downs Ford Upper Intake so its a similar set up to yours.
Motor should be ready in three weeks , so I want to make sure I do it right the 1st time .

Did you make that power with c16 or pump gas ,

I am trying to go to the track on the Saturday 7th, hopefully I can get away from work, also I am trying to get it weighed this week, I did this with straight C16, no pump gas, timing locked at 24 degrees.

Huh. Close to what mine was also. blo-thru, no IC, 14 psi through a C-4 an 3.75 gears. 6.47 @ 107. Was hoping for high 9's. Had teething issues and with more traction think it would have been 6.20's with the 536 rwhp it was making. I couldn't go to the 1/ before I tore down, so I'm as curious as you, for you. lol

I cant wait also, I wish the track was open every day, so I can try different things like tire pressure, and shift points, not enough time for cool down in a 4 hour period of racing.

Wait for the guys who rent the track. I kick them 100 bucks to tag along. I do about 12-15 60 ft passes a day like that. 60 ft, shut it down, come back and make a change. Wait for slicks to cool down, hit it again. Got A LOT done like that.

Well, I need to make full passes, I am shifting at 5800, I wanted see what it would do if I shifted at 5600 and 6000 and see the difference, its a Stock Cam, also I am running 10psi of air in the slicks, I wanted to see how it would do with higher air pressure.

Went to the track today, day after a rain, track prep wasnt there but I was able to get two good runs 9.89 @ 141 MPH and 9.90 @ 143 MPH

It stalls at 4500, Precision Industries converter.
