I have not decided what I am going to do about valvebody or converter just yet. I have a Baumann controller that will operate it, but don't know if I should just go straight to a transbrake vb and be done. I may just run it with the Baumann first and see how it works as a baseline, then change stuff later.

The bauman is a great controller, You are talking the Quick 4, right? US Shift? I have a really good trans tune on one of my laptops if I can still access it.

It's the old one, Optishift, before they became US Shift. It's old but it's never been used.

Probably a the same-ish as a Quick 2 although it has some Quick 4 features.

I put Nittos on this car too. They worked decently well on the 83GT during Raceweek. Hopefully I am done buying tires for a while.

Quicktime bell arrived today. Sucker weighs 40 pounds. The lack of specific instructions is somewhat of a letdown. I was hoping it gave some info about converters and flexplates. Nope. I'll figure it out.

Radiator and fan are mounted. I trimmed up a 5.7L Grand Cherokee upper hose to fit. Turned out pretty good. There is plenty of room by the belt, but I may loop a big zip tie over it to keep it from flopping around.

New territory for me. I started cutting the bellhousing off the 4r70w. Seems to be going ok. A 1.5" radiator hose slips over the input shaft nicely to keep material out of the transmission.

I've been curious about a bellhousing for my AOD. I'll follow along!

All done. Not super hard. You just have to trim it back enough that the bellhousing sits flush on the pump and indexes inside the lip. A sawzall with a coarse blade works well followed by a flappy wheel in an angle grinder.

I rolled GB out, turned it around and put it back in it's spot. Not an easy job to do by yourself on the super slick concrete!

This was also the first time the car has been on the ground with the new wheels and tires. I am very happy with the fit and ride height.

I did some throttlebody switcherooing with the 83GT. This one will let me use the stock hood so I can maintain it's stealthiness. Haha.

Also a 4r70w with converter weighs right around 200 lbs.

Thanks for the bellhousing pics. That doesn't seem as bad as I thought. Something about cutting my case seemed daunting.

You might need a little less tire if you are going for stealthy? :)

Haha, well I want it to look like a regular old 98GT with some aftermarket wheels.

My neck of the woods you can't tell between a stock Mustang with Flowmasters or something serious because they all run radials and skinnys to look cool. Usually the tell is if they're driving like a normal person, it might be quick.

Picked up a set of SVO pedestal mount roller rocker arms for this car.

Not really worth any hp, but will handle the cam lift a bit better than stock rockers.

Not sure just yet. I used a Roadrunner 3200-3500 in the 83GT and was very pleased with it.

Just checked their site though, and dang, prices have jumped.
