Got it painted today! 30 minutes per day, goes along way!

been working on the coil harnesses, got them built from scratch to a 8 pin Deutsch connector, then on into the car, to the ecu, and ignition power. Going to power them off that small relay panel from leash electronics.

Also ordered a pro 6 panel, to power the backside of the car. 2) fuel pumps, 2) cooling fans, and 2) water pumps. Figured it would look clean, and be easy to work on, if I just went ahead and placed another relay panel back there, it’ll be here in a couple weeks.

 

Those are super nice looking but man I've gotta say I'm in the wrong business if they are selling any volume of those!

yeah I’m sure he is, leash electronics is the actual company that builds them. I’m sure there’s a pretty good profit margin.

 

Got the rings gapped, and installed on all the pistons. Hope to start assembling the bottom end here soon!

Also, got a cam ordered up from Smallwood Racing Development, he is using cam motion to grind it. It’s set to ship out in the next couple weeks or so.

Any advice on thrust clearances? .0037, is that enough? From what I’ve gathered, it seems fairly tight.

opened it up another .003, to .0067 hopefully it’s enough. My research seemed to lean towards the looser side for turbo motors. But idk, Wish me luck!

working on valvetrain geometry currently.
T&D wanted the old stands back, to exchange them for a set that will move the pattern .050 towards the exhaust.

 

This deal is fighting me every step of the way. Smh!
Rocker to valve stem pattern was pretty far off, so they sent me new stands free of charge(with exchange). Now the damn rockers are hitting the springs !

so I’ve ordered -.050 locks, to space the retainers down .050, in hopes that it clear.
