First couple shots from the fabricator, 2.5” vbands cut off the headers, and new 3” welded on.
Then the passenger side bank getting fab’d up.

    SOOOOOO Nice!
    One question tho.
Why the change up to 3?
I think I've read on this forum that 1800-2k hp with 2.25" pipe to a single?
I guess that "could" change spool time too?
    Just curious.
    NOT nick picking.
    It looks great!

I’ve heard the same, 2.25 & 2.5 will support a ton of HP.
On the other hand, I’ve heard people say go up to 3” if you wanna start making big hp with a +400 ci motor. I was on the fence, but ultimately chose to go 3”.

Ive paid and paid, to do many things 2,3,4 times… that now, I’m trying to forecast to save me some money in the long run.

It really looks good. My hot side is an old HP performance that I bought new about 20 years ago. It's 3 inch and I haven't ever had a problem, and that's with 347 cid and smaller. I don't think the 3 inch will problem. I've also had to pay for things 2 or 3 times, it doesn't take long before you learn. I have to question the Clear View location. Wouldn't it be better where you can just slide a pan under it when you change the filter, or clean the screen ?

yes, exactly. I’ve had waay too many do-overs, now I’m trying my best to plan ahead.

Clearview placement should be fine, I’ll just have to hold a pan under it while I unscrew it.

I’m trying to keep as much weight off the nose of this car as possible, trying to keep bias good for no prep style racing, weight and weight placement are key. Rear-mounted the radiator & Intercooler to help aswell.

I really like watching the no prep stuff. If I was younger I would definitely build a car. I would really like to be involved with one.

Had the fabricator whip me up a panel to cover up the cowl, at first I wasn’t too happy with it, but once I cut it down 1”, painted it, and added a trim piece. Im really dig it now. Looks clean.

Also got started on some fuel lines too, it’s getting closer boys!

Still chipping away. Got the valve cover bungs welded on, guy did a great job & welded them on the inside, super clean look. Then I created some baffles, and had them welded in to cover the bungs, so oil doesn’t just fling out of the hole. Then Built the catch can lines with -16 pushlock.
